Do you find yourself often making too much mac and cheese? Turn the leftovers into a new dish! These Air Fried Mac and Cheese Bites are coated with seasoned bread crumbs and placed in an air fryer where they crisp right up.

Air Fried Mac and Cheese Bites
Turn that leftover mac and cheese into an appetizer or snack bite!
Equipment
- Parchment Paper
Ingredients
- 3 cups leftover cold mac and cheese
- 1 cup panko bread crumbs
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika, or regular
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tbsp milk
Instructions
- Beat eggs and milk together in a bowl
- In a separate bowl, mix bread crumbs, garlic powder, salt, pepper and paprika
- Scoop out cold mac and cheese and roll into a ball, about 1.5 tbsp
- Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper
- Dip each ball into the egg mixture and make sure all sides are covered
- Then dip into panko mixture making sure the to cover all sides
- Return to baking sheet. Repeat until all mac and cheese balls have been breaded
- Place baking sheet in freezer for 30 minutes
- Preheat air fryer to 380 degrees and place bites in 1 layer to cook for 10-12 minutes (make sure the bites aren't touching)
- Let cool for a few minutes and enjoy!
Notes
- Cook time will depend on the air fryer you have. I use the Instant Vortex
