Air Fried Mac and Cheese Bites

Turn that leftover mac and cheese into an appetizer or snack bite!

Equipment

Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups leftover cold mac and cheese
  • 1 cup panko bread crumbs
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika, or regular
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tbsp milk

Instructions
 

  • Beat eggs and milk together in a bowl
  • In a separate bowl, mix bread crumbs, garlic powder, salt, pepper and paprika
  • Scoop out cold mac and cheese and roll into a ball, about 1.5 tbsp
  • Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper
  • Dip each ball into the egg mixture and make sure all sides are covered
  • Then dip into panko mixture making sure the to cover all sides
  • Return to baking sheet. Repeat until all mac and cheese balls have been breaded
  • Place baking sheet in freezer for 30 minutes
  • Preheat air fryer to 380 degrees and place bites in 1 layer to cook for 10-12 minutes (make sure the bites aren't touching)
  • Let cool for a few minutes and enjoy!

Notes

  • Cook time will depend on the air fryer you have. I use the Instant Vortex
